Spring is in air. The temperatures are rising. Flowers are blooming. I noticed some blooming alongside my driveway this evening. I snapped a few pictures and later decided to break out the watercolors.

It has been a long time since I have painted. So long both of my cats were super helpful as only cats can be. Sticking their paws into the water and attempting to stick their noses in the paint. Instead of being annoyed by their helpfulness, I appreciated their desire to be part of the process.

Overall the day reminded me of the Ferris Bueller quote “Life moves pretty fast. You don’t stop to look around once in awhile, you could miss it.” That is what the driveway flowers and my watercolor cats reminded me of today. Sometimes we need to slow down and just look around.
