We spend a lot of time on our computers. If you are still using copy and paste commands, you can save yourself some time by the one of these two shortcuts instead.
Control + D
The copy paste sequence includes 3 steps-copy, move cursor to desired paste location and paste. Duplicate or, Control + d is only 2 steps. The object is duplicated and then moved to your desired location.
My favorite keyboard shortcut reduces this to a single step.
I am a teacher who works with different design elements in my presentations. Text boxes and different images can often be found on my slides. They need to be duplicated and moved into different positions.
Control + Alt + Select, Move and then Release
The selected item will be duplicated and moved into the desired position in one single step!
Reducing a simple copy and paste sequence into a single step saves me time every time I create something new.
